I thought it was going to be a toss-up between Venus in Furs and Memo From Turner, but I surprised myself by going for Cliff and Move It.

It's hard to believe that a man who was a joke and worse by the time I started buying records was (doing at least a very good simulation of) being transgressive the year I was born. Go Cliff. And your beat combo! Dig the sneer.

So glad you posted a comment. Cliff sure was transgressive. All feedback is welcome.

I note no Gene Vincent selection as yet.

Ihe best clip, IMHO, was pf him playing in Belgium around 1961 with some local band going completely and utterly nuts. Unfortunately it was a victim of the Viacom holocaust a year or so back.

I'm going to have a look around for it elsewhere.

Prsesumably there's no video of the Deviants in their heyday?

Great fookin' idea. As an antique boho myself, I'm in full agreement w/ your selections (well, I can take or leave N. Young) & only wish I had the patience to go looking for the good stuff. Glad you do. Cheers!

Thank you for the round of applause. Gene is coming. People keep promising Deviants footage especiall;y of Hyde Park show but somehow it never materializes. And MB, that exactly why I'm doing this.
